Section 5-25-9 Maintenance and examination of records, etc. (a) Any person required to be licensed under this chapter shall maintain in its offices or such other location as the department shall permit the books, accounts, and records as the department may reasonably require in order to determine whether the person is complying with this chapter and rules and regulations adopted pursuant to this chapter. These books, accounts, and records shall be maintained apart and separate from any other business in which the person is involved. (b) The department may, by its designated officers and employees, as often as it deems necessary, but at least once every 24 months, investigate and examine the affairs, business, premises, and records of any person required to be licensed under this chapter insofar as they pertain to any business for which a license is required by this chapter. Section 32-5A-307 Administrative hearing. (a) Any person who has received a notice of intended suspension pursuant to Section 32-5A-303 or a notice of suspension pursuant to Section 32-5A-302 where no notice of intended suspension was served may request an administrative hearing. Section 34-27-69 Surety bond; suspension, etc., of license for violation of article; reinstatement; relicensure; board must be notified of initiation, etc., of legal action. (a) Every applicant for a license under this article, either original or renewal, shall furnish a surety bond payable to the State of Alabama in the amount of $5,000 if a time-sharing salesman or $10,000 if a broker, with a surety company authorized to do business in Alabama, which bond shall provide that the obligor therein will pay up to $5,000 or $10,000, respectively, the aggregate sum of all judgments which may be recovered against such licensee for actual loss or damage arising from his or her activities conducted under this article.
