Section 45-2-261.62 Planning and zoning advisory committee established; composition; purpose
and duties. (a) There is established the Fort Morgan Planning and Zoning Advisory Committee,
hereinafter referred to as the planning and zoning advisory committee, to be composed of the
following members: Two members appointed by the Baldwin County Commission from a list of not
less than four nominations by the Fort Morgan Civic Association, Inc.; and three members appointed
by the Fort Morgan Civic Association, Inc. All members shall be residents and registered voters
in the Fort Morgan District. All members shall serve a term of four years and may be reappointed
to succeeding terms. Members shall serve until a replacement is appointed and qualified. Any
vacancy on the committee shall be filled by the original appointing authority. Members shall
serve without compensation, but may be reimbursed for expenses in the performance of their

Unincorporated areas. (a) The voters in the unincorporated area of Etowah County may authorize
the sale of alcoholic beverages within the unincorporated area of the county on Sunday by
an election pursuant to this section, in the following manner: The county commission, by resolution,
may call an election to determine the sentiment of the voters residing outside the corporate
limits of any municipalities within the county, as to whether alcoholic beverages may be legally

the health, safety, morals, convenience, environment order, prosperity, and general welfare,

Section 11-99-4 Creation of tax increment districts and approval of project plans. In order
to exercise its powers under this chapter, a public entity shall take the following steps:
(1) The local governing body shall hold a public hearing at which all interested parties are
afforded a reasonable opportunity to express their views on the concept of tax increment financing,
on the proposed creation of a tax increment district and its proposed boundaries, and its
benefits to the public entity. Notice of the hearing shall be published in a newspaper of
general circulation in either the county or in the city, as the case may be, in which the
proposed tax increment district is to be located with such notice to be published at least

Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter,
whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel
wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal
