Section 45-49-31.02 Officers; compensation. A chair and a vice-chair shall be elected by the board from among its members. In the absence or incapacity of the chair, the vice-chair shall serve as chair and may perform such acts and duties as the chair is authorized to perform. The power of the board shall be vested in and exercised by a majority of the members of the board then in office. The board shall elect a secretary-treasurer from among its members to act as custodian of all the funds, from whatever source derived, received by the board, and shall deposit the monies in a separate interest bearing checking account or accounts in one or more banks or trust companies which are duly qualified and doing business in Mobile County.
