Section 45-49-31.02 Officers; compensation. A chair and a vice-chair shall be elected by the
board from among its members. In the absence or incapacity of the chair, the vice-chair shall
serve as chair and may perform such acts and duties as the chair is authorized to perform.
The power of the board shall be vested in and exercised by a majority of the members of the
board then in office. The board shall elect a secretary-treasurer from among its members to
act as custodian of all the funds, from whatever source derived, received by the board, and
shall deposit the monies in a separate interest bearing checking account or accounts in one
or more banks or trust companies which are duly qualified and doing business in Mobile County.

Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby approved,
adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article I. Purposes.

a public benefit agency of the State of Alabama and shall have a board of directors of nine

created the Flexible Employees Benefit Board, which shall consist of a state employee appointed
