Section 22-30E-3 Definitions. Unless otherwise defined in this chapter, the definition of all terms included in Section 22-30-3 shall be applicable to this chapter. Other definitions as necessary may be promulgated as regulations by the department for further implementation of this chapter. Also, as used in this chapter, the following words and terms have the following meanings: (1) ALABAMA LAND RECYCLING AND ECONOMIC REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION. That commission which is created in Section 22-30E-12. (2) APPLICANT. An owner or operator or prospective purchaser of a qualifying property seeking to participate in the voluntary cleanup program established pursuant to this chapter. (3) CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE. A statement prepared by a professional engineer or geologist licensed to practice in the State of Alabama which certifies compliance with a voluntary cleanup plan required by Section 22-30E-9. Section 35-9-100 When reasonable satisfaction may be recovered. A reasonable satisfaction may be recovered for the use and occupation of land: (1) When there has been a demise by deed or by parol, and no specific sum agreed on as rent. (2) When the defendant has been let into possession upon a supposed sale of the lands, which, from the act of the defendant, has not been consummated. Section 11-32-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall mean the following unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AD VALOREM TAX. Those real and personal property ad valorem taxes collected by the county tax collector, the director of revenue of the county, or revenue commissioner, if any, for the county, but shall exclude all ad valorem taxes collected for the State of Alabama and all boards of education, municipalities, fire districts, or other entities located in the county. Section 22-30D-5 Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund." The fund as so created shall be administered and used by the board as a drycleaning industry self-insurance program for the benefit of those persons electing to be covered by this chapter within the time(s) specified in accordance with the provision of this chapter and as a revolving fund for carrying out the purposes of this chapter.
