Section 11-19-9 County planning commission - Adoption of bylaws; maintenance of record of transactions,

funds. The county planning commission shall adopt bylaws for the transaction of business and
shall keep a record of its transactions, resolutions, findings, and determinations, which
record shall be a public record. The county planning commission shall elect a chairman and
a vice-chairman from among the appointed members who shall serve for one year with eligibility
for reelection. The county planning commission shall appoint a secretary who may be an officer

Section 45-49-171.41 Mobile County Indigent Care Board authorized. At the determination of
the county commission, there may be hereby established the Mobile County Indigent Care Board,
hereinafter referred to as the board, whose composition and duties shall be as follows: (1)
The county commission may appoint a Mobile County Indigent Care Board which shall consist
of three members who are duly qualified electors of Mobile County, but no member of such board

Section 45-49-91.18 Appeals to Mobile County Commission. (a) Appeals to the Mobile County Commission
may be taken by any aggrieved person. The appeal shall be taken as provided by the rules of
the board and within the time period prescribed by its rules, by filing notice of appeal specifying
the grounds thereof with the board from whom the appeal is taken and with the Mobile County
Commission. The board shall transmit to the Mobile County Commission with the notice of appeal
all papers constituting the record upon which the action appealed from was taken. An appeal

Section 45-49-170 Mobile County Litter Control Act. (a)(1) Recognizing the rapid growth of
the County of Mobile and the need for a healthful, clean, and beautiful environment; and further
recognizing that the proliferation and accumulation of litter discarded throughout Mobile
County impairs this need and constitutes a public health hazard; and further recognizing the
addition need of effective litter control, there is hereby enacted this Mobile County Litter
Control Act. (2) The purpose of this section is to accomplish litter control throughout Mobile

Section 45-49-70 Salary. (a) The members of the Mobile County Commission, the governing body
of Mobile County, shall each receive an annual salary of fifty-seven thousand dollars ($57,000).
Such compensation shall become effective at the beginning of the next term of the county commission
or other like governing body. In addition thereto, all expense allowance payable to such members
of the Mobile County Commission existing on August 8, 1991, shall from that date until the
expiration of the current terms of office continue to be payable as an expense allowance;

Section 45-2-261 Creation of the County Planning and Zoning Commission. There is created a
planning and zoning commission for Baldwin County, Alabama, which commission shall be appointed
as provided and shall have responsibilities and duties as stated in this subpart. The commission

Section 45-49-201.21 Special issuance fee. (a)(1) In Mobile County, the Mobile County Commission
may impose, by resolution of the commission, a special issuance fee not to exceed five dollars
($5) to be collected by the License Commissioner of Mobile County on each motor vehicle registration,
boat renewal or registration, manufactured home registration, business license application,
or other instrument registered or application applied for in the office of the license commissioner.

Section 45-49-141.01 Financial charge or tax. (a) After the Mobile County Commission has determined
that such a need does exist in Mobile County, the county commission, in the manner hereinafter
specified, may provide for a financial charge or tax to be paid by the owners of forest lands
located in Mobile County for the use of the land for timber growing purposes amounting to
the whole or any part of the cost of such fire protection program, but not in excess of ten
