Section 22-30-9 General responsibilities of State Department. The responsibilities of the department include the following: (1) The department may adopt procedures for granting variances and is empowered to grant such variances. Section 22-9A-14 Death registration. (a) A certificate of death for each death which occurs in this state shall be filed with the Office of Vital Statistics, or as otherwise directed by the State Registrar, within five days of the death and shall be registered if it has been completed and filed in accordance with this section. (1) If the place of death is not known, but the dead body is found in this state, the certificate of death shall be completed and filed in accordance with this section. (a) Except as provided in Section 34-27B-7, no person shall hold himself or herself out to be, or function as, a respiratory therapist in this state unless licensed in accordance with this chapter. Section 37-3-25 Penalties for violations. (a) Any person knowingly and willfully violating any provision of this chapter or any rule, regulation, requirement or order thereunder or any term or condition of any certificate, permit or license for which a penalty is not otherwise herein provided shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not more than $100.00 for the first offense and not more than $500.00 for any subsequent offense. (a) Nothing in this article shall be construed as applying to the shipping, sale, possession, and use of special fireworks for public displays by holders of a permit for a public display to be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations governing this type of fireworks by the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms division of the United States Treasury Department, and their requirements met and any permit or license required by them secured before application for a state display permit is made.
