Section 45-44-260.12 Remedies. In case any building or structure is erected, constructed,
reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted, or maintained, or any subdivision is established,
or land used in violation of this article or of any regulation made under the authority conferred
by this article, the county attorney shall initiate any appropriate action or proceeding to
prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion,
maintenance, or subdivision of the land or use of the land to restrain, correct, or abate
such violation, or to prevent the occupancy of any such building, structure, subdivision of
land, or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business, or misuse in or upon any premises
regulated under the authority conferred by this article. If the county attorney is successful
in any proceedings, all court costs and reasonable attorney fees for time spent by the county

plates; release of personal information. (a)(1) The design of license plates, including all

Section 45-31-141.11 Fire protection fee levied on dwellings and commercial buildings.
(a) The expenses of establishing and maintaining a district shall be paid for by the proceeds
of a fire protection fee which shall be levied and collected in an amount sufficient to pay
the expense. One percent of the fee shall be appropriated to fund the Geneva County office
of the Alabama Forestry Commission. One percent of the fee shall be appropriated to the Geneva
County Volunteer Firefighters Association. The fee shall be levied at a uniform rate upon
each dwelling and commercial building served by the system. The term commercial building shall
not apply to any utility distribution or transmission poles or towers or utility substations.
The fee shall be collected, administered, and enforced at the same time, in the same manner,

Section 45-49-140.10 Service charges - Levy and collection. (a) The expense of establishing
and maintaining a district shall be paid for by the proceeds of a service charge which shall
