Section 45-49-22.02 Notice; qualified voters; conduct of elections. The Mobile County Commission
shall cause notice of any election held pursuant to this subpart to be given to the voters
of Mobile County by causing a written notice to be published in a newspaper having general
circulation in the county at least 30 days before the election. The notice shall state that
the election is being called pursuant to, and shall be conducted in accordance with, this
subpart (identifying the same by its act number and the session of the Legislature in which
it was adopted) and shall further state the date on which the election shall be held and the
question that shall appear on the ballot. Only qualified voters of Mobile County shall be
entitled to vote in any such election. Any election held pursuant to this subpart shall be
conducted by the officers provided by law to conduct countywide elections in Mobile County,

Section 45-49-140.33 Election requirements. (a) If the planned expansion of a municipal police
jurisdiction includes any portion of the Turnerville fire protection district, the council
or governing body of the respective municipality may request that the Judge of Probate of
Mobile County order an election to be held in the affected area. Only those qualified electors

Section 45-49-22.03 Lawful activities upon affirmative vote. If a majority of the voters voting
in any election held pursuant to this subpart vote Yes, then, upon the proper certification

Section 11-65-4 Elections required to approve incorporation of commission and conduct of racing
and pari-mutuel wagering thereon. (a) No commission shall be incorporated for a Class 1 municipality
and no horse racing or greyhound racing or pari-mutuel wagering thereon shall be permitted
in such municipality pursuant to this chapter unless the incorporation of such commission,

Section 45-37-40.02 Barber commission. (a) There shall be a barber commission for the county
consisting of three members, one of whom shall be black, herein at times referred to as the
commission. The present members of the commission having been previously appointed by the
county commission, shall serve for the duration of their term, but in the event of a vacancy

held pursuant to this subpart vote Yes, the activities enumerated in Section 45-49-22.03 which

Section 45-49-22 Election on Sunday sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages. The Mobile
County Commission is hereby mandated to call and provide for holding an election among the
voters of Mobile County to determine whether or not alcoholic beverages, as defined in Section
28-3-1, may be legally sold and distributed on Sundays after 12 o'clock noon by properly licensed
