Section 45-35-241.01 Expense allowance; salary. (a) Commencing April 1, 2017, the Revenue
Commissioner of Houston County shall receive an annual expense allowance of fifteen thousand
dollars ($15,000) payable in equal monthly installments. This expense allowance shall be in
addition to all other compensation or benefits granted to the revenue commissioner, including,
the compensation provided in Section 45-35-241. (b) Effective beginning the next term
of office, the annual salary of the Revenue Commissioner of Houston County shall be ninety-two
thousand thirty-five dollars and twenty-seven cents ($92,035.27), which shall be paid in the
same manner as the salary of other elected county officials, and the expense allowance provided
for in subsection (a) shall be null and void. Excluding reimbursement for allowable expenses,

Section 45-36-241.40 Motor vehicle license and title division; personnel. There is hereby
created within the Revenue Commissioner's office of Jackson County a license division which
shall issue all motor vehicles licenses, and titles, issued through the revenue commissioner's
office. The county commission shall furnish suitable quarters and provide the necessary forms,
books, stationery, records, equipment, and supplies, except such stationery, forms, and supplies
as furnished pursuant to law by the State Department of Finance or the Comptroller. The county

Section 45-42-200.16 Additional fees for mailing expenses. All applications for motor
vehicle tags by mail and the correct amount of taxes and fees shall be received by the county
license commissioner, on or before the last regular work day before the 20th day of each month,
and the commissioner shall mail such tag not later than the end of the same month. The commissioner
shall charge and collect a fee, not to exceed three dollars ($3), for each month vehicle tag
issued by mail, in addition to all other fees prescribed by law. Such additional fees shall

twenty-five cents ($0.25) shall be collected by the License Commissioner of Calhoun County
on each motor vehicle registration renewal. The special issuance fee shall be in addition
