Section 45-49-181.08 Duties of chair. The chair designated on the petition shall be the official
representative for the petitioners and shall be responsible for the following duties: (1)
Upon notification by the county commission that the road has been selected for the program,
the chair shall contact the county engineer and coordinate all further activities with that
office. (2) The chair shall be responsible for getting all right-of-way deed and easement
documents executed and submitted to the county engineer on or prior to the last day of the
month of September. All deed and easement documents necessary for the road to be accepted
in the program shall be submitted together in one submittal. (3) The chair shall coordinate
the relocation of all utilities necessary for the proper maintenance of the road with the
proper utility authorities and shall notify the county engineer when all such relocations
