Section 45-49-241.01 Electronic filing of business property tax returns. (a) The Legislature
finds that it is in the best interest of Mobile County and the operation of the office of
the Mobile County Revenue Commissioner to provide for the electronic filing of business property
tax returns including payment of any taxes due. (b)(1) The Mobile County Revenue Commissioner
may establish procedures that do not conflict with Article 1A, commencing with Section
40-7-55, of Chapter 7, Title 40, for electronic filing for the reporting, assessment, and
payment of business personal property taxes pursuant to Section 40-7-14. The Mobile
County Revenue Commissioner shall develop a certification process for third party systems
for the filing of business personal property tax returns. A complete business personal property

Section 5-20-4 Establishment or acquisition of a credit card bank. Subject to the provisions
of this chapter and to the prior approval of the superintendent, any bank holding company,
bank holding company subsidiary, domestic lender or foreign lender may, either singly or jointly
with other bank holding companies, bank holding company subsidiaries, domestic lenders or
foreign lenders, establish or acquire, and own and control all the voting shares of a single
credit card bank located in Alabama when and for so long as the following conditions are satisfied:

Section 45-49-171.41 Mobile County Indigent Care Board authorized. At the determination
of the county commission, there may be hereby established the Mobile County Indigent Care
Board, hereinafter referred to as the board, whose composition and duties shall be as follows:
(1) The county commission may appoint a Mobile County Indigent Care Board which shall consist
of three members who are duly qualified electors of Mobile County, but no member of such board

for the appointment of a board of adjustment and the regulations and ordinances adopted pursuant

Section 45-49-91.21 Land use control fee. The Mobile County Commission shall levy upon
owners of any real property located within the district which has elected to come under the
jurisdiction of the board, a uniform land use control fee that shall be equal to 1/10 mill
of the appraised value of the parcel as determined by the Mobile County Revenue Commissioner.
However, in no case shall this fee be less than three dollars ($3) per parcel. Property exempt
from fees and taxes under Act 41 and Act 91 are exempt from the land use control fee provided
for under this section. The Mobile County Revenue Commissioner shall assess the land
use control fee on the real property subject to the land use control fee within the district.
The fee shall be assessed and collected at the same time and in the same manner as ad valorem

(a) Definitions. - For purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the
meanings ascribed by this subsection: (1) ACQUIRER. A business organization including without

Section 45-49-70 Salary. (a) The members of the Mobile County Commission, the governing
body of Mobile County, shall each receive an annual salary of fifty-seven thousand dollars
($57,000). Such compensation shall become effective at the beginning of the next term of the
county commission or other like governing body. In addition thereto, all expense allowance
payable to such members of the Mobile County Commission existing on August 8, 1991, shall
from that date until the expiration of the current terms of office continue to be payable
as an expense allowance; however, upon the new terms of office, the payments shall be deemed
to constitute salary compensation for all purposes and the same shall continue to be paid

with the governing bodies of any incorporated municipalities within the county, shall provide
