Section 45-49-161.02 Election to become supernumerary county treasurer. (a) Any county
treasurer in Mobile County: (1) Who has served for 15 years as such official and is totally
and permanently disabled to serve as such official, upon proof of such disability being made
by certificate of three reputable physicians; or (2) who has served for 18 years as such official
and who is not less than 65 years of age may elect to become a supernumerary county treasurer
by filing a written declaration to that effect with the county commission of the county. If
the county commission finds that the applicant is qualified, the county commission shall issue
a commission as supernumerary county treasurer to any such applicant. (b) Every supernumerary
county treasurer shall serve for life and shall receive from the county governing body in
equal monthly installments on the first of each month an annual salary of 65 percent of the

Section 45-49-201.40 Deposit of monies by license commissioner and other elected officials;
deposit of fiduciary accounts of the probate court. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b),
the license commissioner and other elected officials of Mobile County shall deposit all collection
of monies by his or her office in an interest-bearing checking account or interest-bearing
savings account within Mobile County. (b) Funds deposited in the probate court of the county
in any of its fiduciary accounts shall be exempt from the above interest requirement. Fiduciary

Section 45-45-161 Distribution of payments. (a)(1) Pursuant to the authority granted
by Section 40-28-2, Madison County's share of payments made by the Tennessee Valley
Authority to the state in lieu of ad valorem taxes shall be distributed in the following manner:
(1) Up to one percent of such payments each year shall be used to establish, equip, and maintain
a legislative delegation office. All decisions concerning the Madison County Legislative Office
including, but not limited to, revenue, income, or purchases shall be made by resolutions
of the delegation adopted by a concurrent majority of the Madison County delegation, senators

Section 45-49-30.03 Composition. (a) The commission shall be composed of seven members,
five of whom shall be Choctaw Indians residing in Mobile County. The two additional members
may or may not be Choctaw Indians but shall be residents of the county. All members of the

Section 45-32-60.02 Additional expense allowance; compensation; mileage allowance; equipment
and supplies; health insurance benefits; fee for death certificates. (a) The Greene County
Commission may provide the Coroner of Greene County with additional expense allowances and

Section 45-49-245.01 Monthly payment for stamps; return of unsold magazines; invoices.
(a) Each wholesaler that sells magazines that come within the meaning of this section
shall pay to the Tax Collector of Mobile County on a monthly basis fifty cents ($0.50) for
each stamp affixed to a magazine. A wholesaler shall verify their monthly sales by providing
the Tax Collector of Mobile County with a copy of their invoice for each magazine that comes
within the meaning of this section. Each wholesaler shall pay the required fee to the
Tax Collector of Mobile County within 21 days of the receipt of the invoice. Where a publisher
reimburses a wholesaler for unsold copies of magazines that come within the meaning of this
section, the wholesaler shall be allowed credit towards their required payment of fee

Section 45-49-261.04 Procedure for adoption and amendment of ordinances and regulations.
(a) The Mobile County Commission may adopt ordinances and regulations as necessary to effect
this part. The ordinances or regulations shall be made in accordance with a master plan and
designed to lessen congestion in the streets, to secure safety from fire, panic, and other
dangers, to promote health and general welfare, to provide adequate light and air, to prevent
overcrowding of land, to avoid undue concentration of population, and to facilitate the adequate
