Section 27-62-3 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following words have the following
meanings: (1) AUTHORIZED INDIVIDUAL. An individual known to and screened by the licensee and
determined to be necessary and appropriate to have access to the nonpublic information held
by the licensee and its information systems. (2) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner of Insurance.
(3) CONSUMER. An individual, including, but not limited to, an applicant, policyholder, insured,
beneficiary, claimant, or certificate holder, who is a resident of this state and whose nonpublic

Section 34-26-46 Grounds for disciplinary action; mental or physical competence; penalties;
judicial review; disciplinary oversight. (a) The board shall suspend, place on probation,
or require remediation, or any combination thereof, for any psychologist or psychological

Section 40-12-253 Ad valorem taxation of motor vehicles. (a) Effective January 1, 2000, ad
valorem taxes on motor vehicles shall be assessed and the tax collected forward on a current
basis to coincide with the collection of motor vehicle license taxes and registration fees.
(1) Ad valorem taxes on motor vehicles shall become due and payable on the first day of the
registration renewal month of the owner, the date the motor vehicle enters the State of Alabama,
the date the motor vehicle is removed from the inventory of a dealer, or the date on which
the motor vehicle is otherwise determined to be taxable, whichever comes first. Ad valorem

Section 20-2-190 Penalties; sale of ephedrine, etc.; Alabama Drug Abuse Task Force. (a) Any
person who manufactures, sells, transfers, receives, or possesses a listed precursor chemical
violates this article if the person: (1) Knowingly fails to comply with the reporting requirements
of this article; (2) Knowingly makes a false statement in a report or record required by this
article or the rules adopted thereunder; (3) Is required by this article to have a listed

Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and
from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division
the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined
in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports

Section 11-65-27 Licenses required for stewards and judges of races; appointment of stewards
and judges. Any person desiring to act as a steward for any horse race conducted by a horse
racing operator licensed by a commission pursuant to this chapter must obtain a steward's
license from such commission. Likewise, any person desiring to act as a judge for any greyhound
race conducted by a greyhound racing operator licensed by a commission pursuant to this chapter
must obtain a judge's license from such commission. Each commission shall require each applicant
for a steward's license or a judge's license, as the case may be, to pass one or more examinations

Section 11-65-34 Horse breeding fund. Each commission shall establish a special fund to promote
the breeding, raising, and racing of horses in the state, which shall be known as "The
___ [name of the sponsoring municipality] Racing Commission Breeding and Development Fund."
Each horse racing operator shall pay to its licensing commission a breeding fund fee for each
