Section 34-8A-4 Board of Examiners in Counseling - Creation; membership; Sunset provision.
(a) There is created an Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling, to consist of seven members
who shall be citizens of this state and appointed by the Governor pursuant to the requirements
of this section. (b) Within 30 days from July 18, 1979, the Executive Committee of the Alabama
Counseling Association, or its successor organization, shall submit to the Governor a list
of qualified candidates for the board. The list shall contain names of at least four citizens
from the general public, four qualified counselor educators, and six qualified practicing
counselors from which the Governor, within 60 days, shall select the board. The board shall
consist of two citizens from the general public, two counselor educators, and three counselors

Section 45-2-234.07 Sheriff's Office Personnel Appeals Board - Nomination and election of members.
(a) The personnel officer shall notify all classified employees that nominations for membership
on the board will be accepted for a period of 10 days from that date and instructing all interested
classified employees to submit nominations to the personnel officer of the sheriff's office
within that period. Nominations shall be limited to persons who are merit employees of the
sheriff's office. (b) The personnel officer shall compile a list of the nominations and cause

Section 45-39-244.06 Disposition of funds. (a) The Alabama Department of Revenue shall distribute
the net proceeds of the lodging tax as follows: (1) Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds
of the lodging tax shall be distributed to the Florence/Lauderdale Tourism Board. (2) Twenty-five
percent of the proceeds shall be distributed to the municipality where the lodging accommodation,
