Section 45-49-102.32 Additional policy requirements. Subject to applicable state guidelines
and statutory provisions, the policy adopted by the school board to implement school-based
decision making shall also address the following: (1) School budget and administration including,
but not limited to, discretionary funds, activity and other school funds, funds for maintenance,
supplies and equipment, and accounting and auditing. (2) Assessment of individual student
progress, including testing and reporting of student progress to students, parents, the school
district, and the community. (3) School improvement plans, including the form and function

Section 16-6D-4 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) ACADEMIC YEAR. The 12-month period beginning on July 1 and

Section 22-57-20 Establishment of regional autism centers; constituency board; rules
and regulations. (a)(1) There is established in determined geographic regions of the state
one or more autism centers whose purpose is to provide nonresidential resource and training
services for persons of all ages and of all levels of intellectual functioning who have any
of the following: a. Autism. b. A pervasive developmental disorder that is not otherwise specified.
c. As determined by the Alabama Interagency Autism Coordinating Council, other disability
populations which may receive benefit from the services and activities of the regional centers.

liability. (a) To the extent that the Legislature shall appropriate funds, or to the extent

Section 16-6F-7 Applicant proposals; conversion to public charter school; terms of charters;
contracts. (a) Request for proposals. (1) To solicit, encourage, and guide the development
of quality public charter school applications, every local school board, in its role as public
charter school authorizer, shall issue and broadly publicize a request for proposals for public
charter school applications by July 17, 2015, and by November 1 in each subsequent year. The

Section 38-9A-3 Regional support councils. (a) Each regional support council shall be
composed solely of individuals with developmental disabilities and their family members. Membership
shall not exceed 20 members per council, with at least one member to be appointed from each
of the affiliated councils, and at least two at-large members who are not members of any community
council. A quorum of 40 percent of the membership shall be required to conduct business. Membership

sex offender students; educational placement of juvenile sex offenders. (a)(1) On or before
January 1, 2019, the State Board of Education shall develop a comprehensive model policy for
the supervision and monitoring of juvenile sex offender students, who have a low risk of re-offense
and are enrolled, attending class, and participating in school activities with the general
population of students. The purpose of the model policy is to provide a safe and secure environment
