Section 40-29-26 Sale of seized property. (a) Notice of seizure. As soon as practicable after seizure of property, notice in writing shall be given by the Commissioner of Revenue or his delegate to the owner of the property (or, in the case of personal property, the possessor thereof), or shall be left at his usual place of abode or business. If the owner cannot be readily located, or has no dwelling or place of business within the state, the notice may be mailed to his last known address. Such notice shall specify the sum demanded and shall contain, in the case of real property, a description with reasonable certainty of the property seized. (b) Notice of sale. Section 9-9-75 Establishment of subdistricts - Procedure. (a) The establishment of a subdistrict shall be undertaken only upon the initiative of one or more of the land owners concerned. Such land owners shall file with the chairman, for which a fee of $1.00 shall be charged, a petition signed by three fourths of the land owners who own, control or operate all of the land involved. (a) It is the intent of this article to make available to Madison County residents the aforementioned services only when such road related services and road building materials are not available to them at a reasonable cost from private enterprise. Upon May 28, 1980, and annually thereafter, the Madison County Commission shall examine the availability of work, services, and material from private enterprise in the various areas of Madison County and shall determine a cost for providing road related services and road construction material.
