Section 11-32-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall mean the following unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AD VALOREM TAX. Those real and personal property ad valorem taxes collected by the county tax collector, the director of revenue of the county, or revenue commissioner, if any, for the county, but shall exclude all ad valorem taxes collected for the State of Alabama and all boards of education, municipalities, fire districts, or other entities located in the county. (2) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the governing body of any county to which this chapter applies and with a municipality in the county, all in accordance with Section 11-32-3. Section 32-5A-191.4 Ignition interlock devices. (a) As used in Section 32-5A-191, the term, "ignition interlock device" means a constant monitoring device that prevents a motor vehicle from being started at any time without first determining the equivalent blood alcohol level of the operator through the taking of a breath sample for testing. The system shall be calibrated so that the motor vehicle may not be started if the blood alcohol level of the operator, as measured by the test, reaches a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.02. (b) The ignition interlock device shall be installed, calibrated, and monitored directly by trained technicians who shall train the offender for whom the device is being installed in the proper use of the device. Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state.
