Section 45-48-70.05 Election of commission. At the general election immediately prior to the expiration date of the term of office of each member of the commission, and as is hereinabove provided and every four years thereafter, their successors shall be elected by the qualified voters of the entire county, and the term of office of each member so elected shall be four years, beginning on the first Monday after the second Tuesday in January, following the election, and until his or her successor has been elected and qualified.
