Section 13A-9-70 Definitions. The following words and phrases as used in this article shall
have the following meanings unless a different meaning is required by the context: (1) CHARITABLE
ORGANIZATION. Any benevolent, philanthropic, or patriotic person, or one purporting to be
such, consistent with the then-controlling definition provided in the Internal Revenue Code
of the United States of America, which solicits and collects funds for charitable purposes
and includes each local, county, or area division within this state of the charitable organization;
provided the local, county, or area division has authority and discretion to disburse funds
or property otherwise than by transfer to any parent organization. (2) CHARITABLE PURPOSE.
Any charitable, benevolent, philanthropic, or patriotic purpose which is consistent with the
then-controlling definition provided in the Internal Revenue Code of the United States of

Section 34-27C-2 Creation; composition; sunset provision. (a) The Alabama Security Regulatory
Board is created. Each member of the board shall be a citizen of the United States and a resident
of this state, and the appointing authorities shall coordinate their appointments so that
diversity of gender, race, and geographical areas is reflective of the makeup of this state.
The board shall consist of the following members: (1) Two members appointed by the Governor.
The appointees shall not be qualified to be licensed under this chapter, not be engaged in
the rendering of contract security service for a minimum of three years prior to appointment,
not be employed by or affiliated with any other member of the board, and shall have served
for five or more years in a supervisory position in law enforcement in any municipality, county,

Section 16-24C-6 Termination of employment - Grounds for termination; procedures; appeals.
(a) Tenured teachers and nonprobationary classified employees may be terminated at any time
because of a justifiable decrease in the number of positions or for incompetency, insubordination,
neglect of duty, immorality, failure to perform duties in a satisfactory manner, or other
good and just cause, subject to the rights and procedures hereinafter provided. However, a

person in the employment of the State of Alabama, a county, a city, a local school board,
or any other governmental agency, whether classified or unclassified, shall use any state,
county, city, local school board, or other governmental agency funds, property, or time, for
