Section 45-35-83.01 Salary; cost-of-living increases. (a) Beginning on June 1, 2015, the Judge of Probate of Houston County shall receive an annual salary of one hundred five thousand dollars ($105,000). Notwithstanding Chapter 2A of Title 11, the judge of probate shall be eligible for any cost of living increase afforded to all county employees. (b) In order to receive the compensation provided under subsection (a), the judge of probate shall waive any compensation provided under Section 17-3-60, relating to reports from the state voter registration list. (a) Sheriffs of the several counties in this state shall be compensated for their services by an annual salary payable in equal installments out of the county treasury as the salaries of other county employees are paid.
