Section 45-8-11.01 Annual salaries of certain officials; reimbursements. (a) Beginning with the next term of office, in lieu of any other compensation or expense allowances now provided by law, certain officials of Calhoun County shall be entitled to annual salaries as follows: Commissioner of Licenses $35,000 Coroner $12,200 Deputy Coroner $2,400 County Commission Chairman $40,000 County Commission Members $16,500 Judge of Probate $35,000 Sheriff $37,500 Such salaries shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the county general fund. (a) The judge of probate, as an option to providing for citizens to acquire motor vehicle tags from the office of the judge of probate, may provide for the mail-out of tags and the related collection of payment for ad valorem taxes and motor vehicle tags.
