Section 45-39-246 Distribution of payments. (a) In Lauderdale County, the payments made to
the county commission as authorized in Section 40-28-2 shall be distributed by the county
commission as follows: 10 percent of the payments shall be distributed to the county to be
used in the county road and bridge fund; 30 percent of such payments shall be disbursed on
the same formula as school funds according to the State Department of Education's current
expense ratio are apportioned to the two local school systems - the Lauderdale County Board
of Education, and the Florence Board of Education; 60 percent of the payments shall be distributed
to the county general fund and the general funds of the City of Florence, the City of Rogersville,

in addition to all other taxes imposed by law, an excise tax on persons selling, distributing,

commission of any county in which a special tax for public hospital purposes has heretofore
been or shall hereafter be authorized at an election held in the county pursuant to the provisions
of any amendment to the constitution shall have the power to designate a hospital corporation
in the county as the agency of the county to acquire, construct, equip, operate and maintain
public hospital facilities in the county as a whole if the said special tax is a countywide
