Section 12-2-30 Powers and duties as to supervision and administration of courts generally.
(a) The Chief Justice shall see that the business of the several courts of the state is attended
with proper dispatch and that cases, civil and criminal, are not permitted to become congested
or delayed, and he shall take care that prisoners are not allowed to remain in the jails without

Section 22-32-1 Enactment of Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management
Compact. The Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Compact is hereby
enacted into law and entered into by the State of Alabama with any and all states legally
joining therein in accordance with its terms, in the form substantially as follows: SOUTHEAST
INTERSTATE LOW-LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT COMPACT Article I. Policy and Purpose There

to encourage the building of bridges, causeways and other development work and relief work,
the owner of any lands in the State of Alabama abutting on tidelands, the title to which or

Section 40-17-371 Cost of collection; distribution of tax proceeds. (a) The Alabama
Department of Revenue shall retain one-quarter of one percent (0.25%) of the tax proceeds,
less any refunds, from this additional excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel for its cost
of collection. The department may adopt rules and such forms as may be necessary for the administration
of the excise tax provided for in this article. (b) Each month, prior to the remaining payments
