Section 37-3-15 Licensing and regulation of brokers. (a) No person shall for compensation sell or offer for sale transportation subject to this chapter or shall make any contract, agreement or arrangement to provide, procure, furnish or arrange for such transportation or shall hold himself or itself out by advertisement, solicitation or otherwise as one who sells, provides, procures, contracts or arranges for such transportation, unless such person holds a broker's license issued by the commission to engage in such transactions; provided, that no such person shall engage in transportation subject to this chapter unless he holds a certificate or permit as provided in this chapter. Section 32-7-26 Bond as proof of financial responsibility. (a) Proof of financial responsibility may be furnished by a bond of a surety company duly authorized to transact business in this state, or by a bond with at least two individual sureties each owning real estate within this state and together having equities equal in value to at least twice the amount of such bond, which real estate shall be scheduled in the bond and approved both as to title and value by the judge of probate of the county in which such real estate is located.
