(a) The following words, terms, and phrases where used in this section shall have the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) "County" means Bullock County in the State of Alabama. (b) As used in this section, state sales tax means the tax imposed by Article 1 of Chapter 23 of Title 40 and state use tax means the tax imposed by Article 2 of Chapter 23 of Title 40. (a) The County Commission of Blount County may levy a county privilege or excise tax on every person, firm, or corporation that sells, delivers, uses, or otherwise consumes tobacco products in the county. Tobacco products include cigarettes, cigars, smoking tobacco, chewing tobacco, snuff, and tobacco paper, both gummed and ungummed, or packages thereof.
