Section 45-20-242.81 Levy of additional use tax. (a) This section shall only apply to Covington County. (b) All words, terms, and phrases as defined in Sections 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62, and 40-23-63, providing for the levy of a state use tax shall wherever used in this section, have the same meanings respectively ascribed to them, in those sections except where the context herein clearly indicates a different meaning. In addition, the following words, terms, and phrases where used in this section shall have the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) COUNTY. Section 11-51-194 Delivery license. (a)(1) Each municipality shall allow the purchase of a delivery license by any business that has no other physical presence within the municipality or its police jurisdiction for the privilege of delivering its merchandise therein. The amount of the delivery license for the business shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Nothing herein shall prohibit a municipality from requiring by ordinance the purchase of a decal by the taxpayer for each delivery vehicle making deliveries within the municipality or its police jurisdiction. The charge for such decal shall not exceed the municipality's actual cost of the decal. (a) Any person, including a motor vehicle dealer, acquiring a new or used motor vehicle may be granted a grace period of 20 calendar days from date of acquisition to procure a license tag or plate.
