Section 45-28-60.02 Expense allowance; salary. (a) The coroner of Etowah County shall be entitled
to an additional expense allowance so that the total compensation of the coroner including
expense allowances and salary equals twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) per year payable
from the general fund of the county. (b) Effective beginning the next term of office of the
coroner beginning after May 22, 2019, subject to subsection (c), the annual salary of the
coroner shall be twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) per year payable from the general
fund of the county and subsection (a) shall be repealed. (c) Effective beginning one year
after the beginning of the next term of office of the coroner beginning after May 22, 2019,
and thereafter, the county commission may increase the expense allowance and salary of the
coroner provided that any salary increase shall become effective beginning the next term of

Section 45-32-60.02 Additional expense allowance; compensation; mileage allowance; equipment
and supplies; health insurance benefits; fee for death certificates. (a) The Greene County
Commission may provide the Coroner of Greene County with additional expense allowances and

Section 36-22-16 Compensation. (a) Sheriffs of the several counties in this state shall be
compensated for their services by an annual salary payable in equal installments out of the
county treasury as the salaries of other county employees are paid. The annual salary of the
sheriff shall be $35,000.00, commencing with the next term of office, unless a higher salary

Section 45-39-241.61 Revenue commissioner - Designation; compensation; election. (a) In Lauderdale
County, the combination of the offices of tax assessor and tax collector authorized by a resolution
by the county commission, pursuant to Section 45-39-241.60, is hereby designated as the office
