Section 45-45-82.26 Madison County Law Library Fund. Upon the establishment of the Madison County Law Library under this subpart, Madison County shall have and maintain a separate fund known as the Madison County Law Library Fund and may have a separate law library fund for each law library in the county. The county law library funds shall consist of funds appropriated by the state, county, or municipal governments, funds collected under the provisions of law, proceeds from the sale of copies, books, and other materials, or received from donations, gifts, grants, and funds other than those appropriated, and shall be audited as county funds are audited. The funds may be used to match grants for library purposes. Library funds may be used to pay library personnel. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation.
