Section 45-47-71.01 Disposal of property under control of county commission. (a) All sales
or disposal of real property, tangible personal property, equipment, or other items owned
by or under the control of the county commission shall be made by free and open competitive
sealed bids or at public auction, except that all sales or exchanges of real property, equipment,
and personal property with another municipal or other governmental entity located within Marion
County may be made without the necessity of public auction or competitive sealed bids. (b)
Every proposal to make a sale covered by this section shall be publicly advertised at least
twice at two-week intervals in a newspaper of countywide circulation and a newspaper of statewide
circulation in advance of the date fixed for receiving bids. The advertisements shall state

Section 2-15-297 Stray cattle, equine, or equidae found on quarantined or tick infested ranges,
pastures, etc.; condemnation and sale; redemption. All stray cattle and equine or equidae
running at large on quarantined or tick infested ranges, commons, pastures, or fields, if

Section 33-5A-5 Disposal of certain abandoned and derelict vessels. (a)(1) The agency, without
a court order, may sell by negotiation, dispose of as junk, donate, or destroy an abandoned
or derelict vessel that is not redeemed within 30 days if the vessel, as determined by an
independent appraiser, is worth less than the cost of selling the vessel. For purposes of
this section, the cost of selling the vessel means the total estimated cost, as determined
by the agency, of the vessel's seizure, removal, storage, advertisement, appraisal, auction,
and court costs. (2) The appraiser may be a boat seller or a licensed marine surveyor and
must have at least one year of experience in the sale, purchase, or appraisal of vessels.

Section 45-45-85.21 Recording fee. (a) In Madison County, a special recording fee of four dollars
($4) shall be collected by the judge of probate on each real or personal property, uniform
commercial code, judicial, or other instrument recorded or filed for record in the probate
court of the county. The special recording fee shall be in addition to all other fees, taxes,
and other charges required by law to be paid upon the recording or filing for record of any
