Section 11-65-10 Powers and duties of commission. When authorized by one or more elections
as provided in Section 11-65-4, a commission shall have the powers and duties necessary to
license, regulate, and supervise horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon and greyhound
racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon within the commission municipal jurisdiction, including,
without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the powers and duties hereinafter set forth
in this section or in other sections of this chapter. (1) A commission shall have succession
in perpetuity, subject only to the provisions of this chapter as it may be amended from time
to time. (2) A commission shall have the power to sue and be sued in its own name in civil

Section 25-7-42 Limitations on labor peace agreements, etc.; rights under federal labor laws;
project labor agreements. (a) A county, municipality, or any other political subdivision of
this state shall not enact or administer any ordinance, rule, policy, or other mandate that
creates requirements, regulations, or processes relating to labor peace agreements or similar

Section 37-4-20 Valuation of utility property - Revaluation. (a) If the valuation of the property
of any utility has become final as provided in this article, or if such valuation becomes
final as provided in Section 37-4-18, the commission may, within 90 days after any valuation
hereafter made becomes final, proceed for reasons which it shall deem sufficient to make a
revaluation of the property of such utility of which a valuation has been made or may be made
under the provisions of this chapter, such revaluation being had upon the principles declared

establish and administer a countywide personnel system based on principles of human resource
management which shall include equity, fairness, and compliance with all applicable state

Section 11-65-2 Definitions. (a) The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and
others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, shall, unless the context clearly indicates

Section 45-37-40.04 License - Application; hearings; appeals; fees. (a) Every applicant for
a barbers license, apprentice barbers license, barber teacher license, scalp specialist license,
or a license to operate a barber shop or barbers college, or other like business, shall apply

commission greyhound wagering fees, and other fees, commissions, and moneys, including fines
