Section 11-92A-9 Board of directors. (a) The board of directors of an authority shall be as specified in the articles, or as provided in Sections 11-92A-5 and 11-92A-6, provided that each county within the authorized operational area of an authority shall be represented by at least three directors. (b) Each authority shall have a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, and treasurer, to be elected by the board of directors. The offices of secretary and treasurer may, but need not, be held by the same person. A majority of the directors shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The officers and directors shall serve for the terms provided for in the articles. No director shall draw any salary for any service rendered or for any duty performed as director. Section 34-13-56 Grounds for revocation, suspension, or refusal to issue or renew licenses, etc.; hearing; fines. (a) The board may refuse to license any person or establishment for violation of this chapter. If the board refuses to issue, grant, or renew a license based on a violation of this chapter, including, but not limited to, violations listed in subsection (c), the licensee or prospective licensee may request a public hearing before the board to appeal the action of the board. The request for a public hearing shall be submitted to the board in writing within 14 calendar days after the date of the refusal. Section 26-10A-31 Confidentiality of records, hearing; parties. (a) After the petition is filed and prior to the entry of the final decree, the records in adoption proceedings shall be open to inspection only by the petitioner or his or her attorney, the investigator appointed under Section 26-10A-19, any attorney appointed for the adoptee under Section 26-10A-22, and any attorney retained by or appointed to represent the adoptee.
