Section 45-45-201.06 Duties. It shall be the duty of the director of the department
to collect for and issue all licenses for motor vehicles, motor vehicle licenses, temporary
instruction permits to drive motor vehicles, and any and all other licenses, which are now
or may hereafter be required by law to be issued, collected for, and paid to the State of
Alabama or the counties thereof in connection with motor vehicles and for exercising any right
or privilege in connection therewith for which a license is now or may hereafter be required;
and to collect for and issue all other licenses, except marriage licenses, which are now required
or which may hereafter be required by law to be collected for and issued by judges of probate.

Section 45-13-120 Compensation; election; oath and bond; office space, equipment; chief

1, 1991, there is hereby created the office of commissioner of licenses. The salary of the

Section 45-12-240.40 Motor vehicle licensing. (a) The Revenue Commissioner of Choctaw
County shall perform all duties relative to the assessment and collection of taxes on motor
