Section 27-4A-3 Generally. (a) Subject to the exceptions and exemptions hereinafter
set forth, for the year beginning on January 1, 1995, and for each year thereafter, every
insurer shall pay to the commissioner a premium tax equal to the percentage, as set out in
this subsection, of the premiums received by the insurer for business done in this state,
whether the same was actually received by the insurer in this state or elsewhere: (1) PREMIUM
TAX ON LIFE INSURANCE PREMIUMS. a. Except as hereinafter provided, the rates of taxation on

Section 25-4-10 Employment. (a) Subject to other provisions of this chapter, "employment"
means: (1) Any service performed prior to January 1, 1978, which was employment as defined

Section 9-16-90 Environmental protection performance standards. (a) Any permit issued
pursuant to this article to conduct surface mining operations shall require that such surface
coal mining operations will meet all applicable performance standards of this article, and
such other requirements as the regulatory authority shall promulgate. (b) General performance

(a) Any person who manufactures, sells, transfers, receives, or possesses a listed precursor
chemical violates this article if the person: (1) Knowingly fails to comply with the reporting
requirements of this article; (2) Knowingly makes a false statement in a report or record
required by this article or the rules adopted thereunder; (3) Is required by this article

Section 11-19-3 Adoption of zoning ordinances and building codes for flood-prone areas
outside municipalities. The county commission in each county of this state is hereby authorized
and may adopt zoning ordinances and building codes for flood-prone areas which lie outside

Section 45-49-190 Legislative delegation. (a) The governing body of Mobile County, jointly
with the governing bodies of any incorporated municipalities within the county, may provide
office accommodations for the members of the state legislative delegation from the county
and also provide legislative assistants and an office manager to such legislative delegation.
