Section 45-43-83 Salary increase. (a) In Lowndes County, the judge of probate shall receive
a salary increase of five thousand dollars ($5,000) per annum to commence on October 1, 1990.
The salary increase shall be paid in the same manner and from the same funds as his or her
current salary. (b) If there should be enacted a statewide law providing for an increase in
the judge of probate salary which, when added to the increase provided for under this section

Section 45-29-71.02 Composition; compensation. (a) Beginning on the second Monday of the year
2019, the Judge of Probate of Fayette County shall serve as the chair of the county commission.
These duties shall be in addition to the other duties of the judge of probate, who shall receive
