Section 17-4-3 County board of registrars to purge disqualified electors. (a) Each county board
of registrars shall purge the computerized statewide voter registration list on a continuous
basis, whenever it receives and confirms information that a person registered to vote in that
county has died, become a nonresident of the state or county, been declared mentally incompetent,
been convicted of any offense designated pursuant to Section 17-3-30.1 as a felony involving
moral turpitude for the purposes of Article VIII of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 since
being registered, or otherwise become disqualified as an elector. Except as provided below,
a person convicted of a disqualifying criminal offense shall be notified by certified mail
sent to the voter's last known address of the board's intention to strike his or her name

Section 45-45-233.21 Reporting to jail. Any person who has been sentenced to the Madison County
Jail or any city jail within Madison County and who has been ordered released under Section
45-45-233.20, may at the time of sentence or at any time while any part thereof remains unserved,
be required by the sentencing court to report to the jail to which he or she has been sentenced

Section 45-19-110.02 Reidentification of qualified electors. Prior to the November general
election of 1978, and any tenth year thereafter, the Board of Registrars of Coosa County is
authorized and directed to commence reidentification of qualified electors of the county.
The members of the board of registrars shall meet as provided by law at least once, and more
often if necessary, and remain at each location at least one day from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm
for the purpose of enabling qualified and registered voters to reidentify themselves. The
