Section 33-12-5 Powers, duties and functions. The powers, duties and functions of the agency shall be as follows: (1) GENERALLY. The agency a. Shall have perpetual succession in its corporate name. b. May sue and be sued in its corporate name. c. May adopt, use and alter a corporate seal, which shall be judicially noticed. d. (b) The taxes levied by this section shall become effective, or go into effect, on June 1, 1979. Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter, whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal as provided in this section. A commission shall have no power to modify the terms of an operator's license, once issued, without the prior written consent of the holder of such license. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact is hereby enacted into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein in form substantially as follows: SECTION 1. PURPOSE In order to protect the public through verification of competency and ensure accountability for patient care related activities all states license emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, such as emergency medical technicians (EMTs), advanced EMTs and paramedics. Section 25-4-51 Rates of contributions, etc., by employers. (a) Contributions. Except as hereinafter provided and subject to the provisions of Section 25-4-54, every employer shall pay contributions, or payments in lieu of contributions, equal to the percentages of wages payable or paid as hereinafter set out, with respect to employment by him. Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. (2) The gross proceeds of the sale, or sales, of fertilizer when used for agricultural purposes.
