Section 45-41-81 Salary supplement - District attorney. The county governing body of the county comprising the Thirty-seventh Judicial Circuit is hereby authorized, and empowered to pay, in the discretion of the county governing body, an annual county salary supplement of an amount equal to one thousand dollars ($1,000) less than the annual county salary supplement paid to the circuit judges of the Thirty-seventh Judicial Circuit. The supplement hereby authorized shall be paid in equal monthly installments out of the general fund in the county treasury, shall be in addition to the salary paid the district attorney by the State of Alabama, and shall be in addition to any other county expense allowance or supplement heretofore provided by law which is payable from the county. Section 36-22-16 Compensation. (a) Sheriffs of the several counties in this state shall be compensated for their services by an annual salary payable in equal installments out of the county treasury as the salaries of other county employees are paid. The annual salary of the sheriff shall be $35,000.00, commencing with the next term of office, unless a higher salary is specifically provided for by law by general or local act hereafter enacted. Section 45-16-84.01 Compensation for judge of probate - Salary. (a) A Judge of Probate of Coffee County who is first elected or appointed on or after September 22, 2015, shall receive an annual base salary of seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) per year. Except as provided in subsection (b), the salary shall constitute the total compensation payable to the judge of probate, and shall be in lieu of any salary, expense allowance, or other compensation provided by law.
