Section 45-6-242 Levy of taxes; exemptions; payment of taxes; reports by taxpayers; applicability of state sales tax statutes; disposition of funds. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases where used in this section shall have the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) "County" means Bullock County in the State of Alabama. Section 40-17-330 Refund petitions and claims. (a) Any person entitled to a refund pursuant to Section 40-17-329 within two years of the date that the motor fuel was purchased shall present to the department a petition accompanied by the original or duplicate original sales slip, invoice, or any other documentation approved by the department showing the gallons of motor fuel purchased and the taxes paid. The petition shall be in a format prescribed by the commissioner, shall be accompanied by supporting records, and sworn to by the applicant under the penalty of perjury. (a) All municipalities shall have the following powers: (1) To license any exhibition, trade, business, vocation, occupation, or profession not prohibited by the Constitution or laws of the state which may be engaged in or carried on in the municipality.
