Section 45-8A-110 Annexation based on resolution of public health or public good; elections.
(a) Whenever the council of the City of Oxford shall pass a resolution to the effect that
the public health or public good requires that certain territory (described in the resolution)
shall be brought within the limits of the City of Oxford: (1) It shall be the duty of the
mayor to certify a copy of such resolution to the Judge of Probate of Calhoun County and the
certified resolution shall have attached thereto a plat or map of the territory proposed to
be annexed, which certified resolution and plat or map shall be filed by the judge of probate.
(2) Within 10 days from the date of the filing of such resolution, the judge of probate must
make and enter an order upon the minutes of the court, directing and ordering an election
to be held by the qualified electors residing within the territory described, not less than
20 days nor more than 40 days from the date of the making of the order. The...

Section 34-13-70 License required; filing of application; fee; criminal history background
check. (a) No person shall engage in, or attempt to engage in, the practice or profession
or business of a funeral director unless licensed to do so by the board. The board may issue
licenses to funeral directors. (b) Any person desiring to engage in the business, profession,

(a) Any agency charged with the administration of any law concerning the issuance or renewal
of a license, certificate, or permit to engage in a profession, occupation, or recreational,
sporting, or commercial activity shall require all applicants for issuance of the license,
certificate, or permit, to provide the applicant's Social Security number to the agency, which
agency shall record the Social Security number on the application and related records maintained

Section 40-12-350 County in which issued. No license herein provided for shall be issued in
any county other than the county wherein the disabled veteran is a bona fide resident; provided,
that should a disabled veteran holding a veteran's license desire to engage in a business
or occupation in a county in this state other than the county in which he has secured such

Section 45-12-241.01 Privilege license tax for mandatory solid waste disposal program. (a)
This section shall only apply to Choctaw County. (b) As used in this section, state sales
and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but
not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, 40-23-4, 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62,
and 40-23-63 of the Code of Alabama 1975. (c) The County Commission of Choctaw County may
levy, in addition to all other taxes, a privilege license tax against gross sales in an amount
up to two cents which shall be exclusively for the operational fund of the county mandatory
solid waste disposal program. The gross proceeds of all sales which are presently exempt under
