Section 11-50B-8 Meetings, hearings, etc., open to public; notice; petition; election; procedure. (a) Actions of the governing body of a public provider relating to the provision of cable service or telecommunications service by the public provider, shall be taken in meetings open to the public consistent with any one or more of Sections 11-43-49, 11-43A-21, 11-44C-25, and 13A-14-2, as amended, respectively, or other similar statutory provisions, as shall otherwise govern meetings of the governing body of the affected public provider. (a) Subject to the conditions set out in this subsection, any street or alley may be vacated, in whole or in part, by the owner or owners of the land abutting the street or alley or abutting that portion of the street or alley desired to be vacated by following the procedures set out herein. Section 9-8-64 Detachment of lands from districts. The owner or owners of lands which have not been, are not and cannot be benefited by their inclusion in the watershed conservancy district may petition the board of supervisors to have such lands detached. (a) A disqualified person may not acquire or hold an interest in a horse racing facility licensee or an operator.
