Section 45-2-72.01 Membership; terms of office. (a) Effective beginning the next term of office,
the position of Chair of Baldwin County Commission shall rotate from among the members of
the commission on an annual basis. At its organizational meeting required in Section 11-3-1,
the commission, by majority vote of its members, shall elect a chair who shall serve in that
capacity for 12 months. Also during the meeting, the commission shall establish a rotation
of the position of chair to enable a commissioner from each of the other three districts to
serve as chair for 12 months beginning with the first meeting in November of the year following
the organizational meeting required in Section 11-3-1. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a member
may decline to serve as chair during all or part of the period of his or her rotation by the

the office of county license inspector. The county commission shall appoint the license inspector

Section 45-49-151.07 Racing days - Requirements; broadcast races. (a) Any person, association,
or corporation desiring to operate a racetrack in the county shall hold and conduct one or
more race meetings at the track each year, but no license shall be granted to any person,
association, or corporation, or to any track for a period longer than 312 racing days in any
one year. (b)(1) Any licensee conducting race meetings under this subpart may: a. Receive
broadcasts of horse races and dog races conducted outside of Mobile County, and allow all

of each year, any person, association, or corporation possessing the qualifications prescribed
in this subpart may apply to the racing commission for a permit or license to conduct race
