Section 45-2-72.01 Membership; terms of office. (a) Effective beginning the next term of office, the position of Chair of Baldwin County Commission shall rotate from among the members of the commission on an annual basis. At its organizational meeting required in Section 11-3-1, the commission, by majority vote of its members, shall elect a chair who shall serve in that capacity for 12 months. Also during the meeting, the commission shall establish a rotation of the position of chair to enable a commissioner from each of the other three districts to serve as chair for 12 months beginning with the first meeting in November of the year following the organizational meeting required in Section 11-3-1.
