Section 45-41-141.02 Establishment of districts. (a) The commission is hereby authorized at
any time and from time to time to establish one or more districts within the boundaries of
the county, to fix the boundaries of any such district, and, subject to applicable provisions
of this part, to alter the boundaries of any such district. No territory within the corporate
limits of any municipality as of the date on which the boundaries of any district are so fixed

Section 45-37-170.02 Removal or demolition of unsafe structures. (a) The County Commission
of Jefferson County shall have authority, after notice as provided herein, to move or demolish
buildings and structures, or parts of buildings and structures, party walls, and foundations
when the same are found by the county commission to be unsafe to the extent of being a public
nuisance from any cause. (b) The term appropriate county official as used in this section

Section 45-5-141.20 Powers and duties; annual dues; board of trustees; referendum election.
(a) This section shall apply only in Blount County. (b) A district for the delivery of fire
and emergency medical services may be formed in any unincorporated area of the county pursuant
to this section subject to the approval of a majority of the qualified electors who vote at
a referendum election for that purpose in the proposed district and for the approval of the
