Section 40-12-318 Payment of expenses; net collections paid into Treasury. It shall be the duty of the probate judge or license commissioner to issue the licenses herein prescribed on a form to be furnished and prescribed by the state Department of Revenue and to remit such money to the Department of Revenue on or before the tenth of the month following the month of issuance. Such amount of money as shall be appropriated for each fiscal year by the Legislature to the Department of Revenue with which to pay the salaries, the cost of operation and the management of the said department shall be deducted, as a first charge thereon, from the taxes collected under and pursuant to Section 40-12-315; provided, that the expenditure of said sum so appropriated shall be budgeted and allotted pursuant to Article 4 of Chapter 4 of Title 41 and limited to the the amount appropriated to defray the expenses of operating said department for each fiscal year. Section 45-25-92.06 Industrial Development Authority - Funding. Forty percent of the cost of operation of the authority shall be paid by the county and the remaining cost shall be paid by the aforementioned cities and towns. On or before January 15 of each year, the authority shall certify to the appropriate official of each city and town what the proportionate amount of the funding of the authority shall be for the city or town, such amount to be based on the ratio of the population of the city or town to the total population of the county. (a) There is levied an additional excise and privilege tax on every person severing coal or lignite in this state in the amount of two and one-half cents ($0.025) per ton of coal or lignite severed by underground mining, and five cents ($0.05) per ton of coal or lignite severed by surface mining, except the maximum tonnage on which the severance tax is levied against a person and a person's affiliates shall not in the aggregate exceed two million tons per year.
