Section 41-5A-20 Settlement of charges; recovery of overpayments. (a) The chief examiner
shall keep a docket in which shall be entered, in favor of the state, county, or municipality,
as the case may be, cases against persons who have not properly and lawfully accounted for
all sums of money coming into their hands as public officers, agents, or employees. If an
amount found to be due the state, county, or other governmental unit or agency as a result
of an examination or audit is not settled upon demand by the examiner, the chief examiner
shall immediately issue notice to the person in default and require him or her to appear on
a day certain and show cause why the amount due should not be paid. If the defaulting officer
fails to settle or to show just cause why the amount due should not be collected, the chief
examiner shall certify such facts and the amount due the state to the Attorney General, and

Section 45-28-100.02 School resource officers. (a) This section shall apply only
in Etowah County. (b) A person who retired from the position of municipal police officer,
deputy sheriff, or other position that required certification by the Alabama Peace Officers'
Standards and Training Commission, the commission, and who retired in good standing may be
employed as a part-time school resource officer by Etowah County or by a municipality or local
school district in Etowah County in accordance with this section. (c) As a part-time
employee, a school resource officer shall not be eligible for health insurance or retirement
benefits beyond those benefits the person is already receiving through his or her former full-time

Section 13A-11-72 Certain persons forbidden to possess pistol. (a) No person who has
been convicted in this state or elsewhere of committing or attempting to commit a crime of
violence, misdemeanor offense of domestic violence, violent offense as listed in Section
12-25-32(15), anyone who is subject to a valid protection order for domestic abuse, or anyone

Section 36-27-1 Definitions. When used in this article, the following terms shall have
the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1)

Section 45-49-151.17 Disposition of funds. (a) All fees, commissions, taxes, and other
monies, including fines and forfeitures, received under this subpart shall be paid to the
racing commission and shall be remitted by it to the county treasurer for deposit in the county
