Section 27-7-5.1 Licenses - Limited license for motor vehicle rental companies. (a) As used in this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) RENTAL AGREEMENT. Any written agreement setting forth the terms and conditions governing the use of a vehicle provided by the rental company for rental or lease. (2) RENTAL COMPANY. Any person or entity in the business of providing rental vehicles to the public under a rental agreement for a period not to exceed 90 days. (3) RENTAL PERIOD. The term of the rental agreement. Section 30-1-21 THIS SECTION WAS ASSIGNED BY THE CODE COMMISSIONER IN THE 2019 REGULAR SESSION, EFFECTIVE AUGUST 29, 2019. THIS IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT. Section 40-25-18 Evasion of stamp tax. (a) Persons failing to properly affix the required stamps to any cigars, cheroots, stogies, cigarettes, smoking tobacco, chewing tobacco, and snuff shall be required to pay, as part of the tax imposed hereunder, a penalty of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500). Each article or commodity not having proper stamps affixed thereto as herein required shall be deemed a separate offense. Any cigars, cheroots, stogies, cigarettes, smoking tobacco, chewing tobacco, and snuff in the place of business of any person required by this article to stamp the same shall be prima facie evidence that they are intended for sale. (a) Every person who applies for an initial Alabama driver's license issued by the Department of Public Safety under this article shall be given and successfully pass an examination before the issuance of a driver's license.
