Section 45-42-101 Appointment of Superintendent. The Limestone County Board of Education shall appoint the county superintendent of education for a contract period as determined by the board. This section as amended shall not limit or alter any existing contract, but shall become operative at the earlier of a vacancy in the office or the expiration of the current contract.
