Section 12-17-226.8 Fees. (a) An offender may be assessed an administration fee when he or she is approved for a pretrial diversion program established under this division. The amount of the fee for participation in the program shall be in addition to any court costs, assessments for crime victim's compensation fund, Department of Forensic Sciences assessments, drug, alcohol, or anger management treatments required by law, restitution, or costs of supervision or treatment. A schedule of payments for any of these fees may be established by the district attorney. (b) The amount of the administration fee shall be determined by the district attorney. Section 32-6-18 Penalties - Violations in general; disposition of funds. (a) Any person of whom a driver's license is required, who drives a motor vehicle on a public highway in this state without first having complied with this article or the rules and regulations promulgated hereunder shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100), to be fixed in the discretion of the judge trying the case. Section 32-5A-191.4 Ignition interlock devices. (a) As used in Section 32-5A-191, the term, "ignition interlock device" means a constant monitoring device that prevents a motor vehicle from being started at any time without first determining the equivalent blood alcohol level of the operator through the taking of a breath sample for testing. The system shall be calibrated so that the motor vehicle may not be started if the blood alcohol level of the operator, as measured by the test, reaches a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.02.
