Section 4-3-40 Definitions. When used in this article, unless the context plainly indicates otherwise, the present tense shall include the future tense, the singular shall include the plural, the plural shall include the singular and the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) AIRCRAFT. The following words and phrases when used in this division shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION. Section 11-92C-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words have the following meanings: (1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the governing body of any authorizing subdivision in accordance with Section 11-92C-3. (2) AUTHORITY. Section 9-7-13 Activities deemed permissible uses within coastal area; determination of additional permissible uses. Section 11-3A-2 Powers for public welfare, health, and safety; authorization; scope. (a) Except as provided in this section, it is the intention of this chapter to occupy by preemption the field of air pollution control within all areas of the State of Alabama.
