Section 8-15-34 Satisfaction of owner's lien. An owner's lien as provided for a claim which has become due may be satisfied as follows: (1) No enforcement action shall be taken by the owner until the occupant has been in default continuously for a period of 30 days. Section 45-41-244.110 Additional sales and use tax authorized. (a) This section shall only apply to those areas outside the corporate limits of the Cities of Auburn, Opelika, and Phenix City in Lee County. Section 11-67-123 Failure to abate condition; assessing cost of abatement. (a) If the owner fails, neglects, or refuses to abate the condition after notice to do so, the enforcing official shall cause the offending grass or weeds to be cut. (b) Upon completion of the abatement work performed by the municipality, including work by contractors employed by the city, the enforcing official shall compute the actual expenses, including, but not limited to, total wages paid, value of the use of equipment, advertising expenses, postage, and materials purchased, which were incurred by the municipality as a result of the work.
