Section 23-2-167 Definitions. THIS SECTION WAS AMENDED BY ACT 2019-501 IN THE 2019 REGULAR SESSION, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2024. TO SEE THE AMENDED VERSION, SEE THE VERSION LABELED PENDING. Section 32-7C-23 Local assessment fees; quarterly reports; distribution of funds; audits. (a) A TNC shall collect a local assessment fee equal to one percent of the gross trip fare for all prearranged rides that originate in the state in accordance with this article. (b)(1) No later than 30 days after the end of each calendar quarter, a TNC shall submit to the commission all of the following: a. The total local assessment fees collected by a TNC. b. Section 45-35A-53 Dothan City Board of Education. (a) There is established a school board for the City of Dothan, Alabama, which board shall be called the Dothan City Board of Education. Members of the board shall be elected by vote of the qualified electors of the City of Dothan. The board shall be composed of seven members, with one member being elected from each of the six school districts as defined in subsection (b), and the chair being elected from the city at-large. (a) Any 25 owners of land lying within the limits of the territory proposed to be organized into a district may file a petition with the State Soil and Water Conservation Committee asking that a soil and water conservation district be organized to function in the territory described in the petition.
